Dance Class Descriptions
Pop Star: High School Musical inspired a generation of kids to sing and dance. Pop Star Dance combines dance and voice with the latest age appropriate popular music. You will develop your confidence, musicality, coordination, and self-expression. No prior experience in dance or voice is required. Dancers usually enroll in Ballet and Broadway Bound too.
Broadway Bound: This is a great class for singers and dancers who want the entire musical package. A combination of dance, voice, and theatre, you learn choreography, songs, and scenes from Broadway musicals. You are able to improve stage presence and character. No prior experience in dance or voice is required. No prior experience in dance or voice is required.

Early Learning 18 months - 3 years old
First Steps: A playful dance class for 2-year-olds, where creative movement introduces basic dance steps while developing coordination, balance, and listening skills in a fun, social setting.
Little Dance ages 3-4 years old
Little Ballet: A fundamental ballet class that is built for the unique developmental needs of this age group. Basic ballet moves, graceful movement, and a foundation of age appropriate lesson plans will be built in while making the class fun and engaging through explorative combinations and simple barre work.
Little Hip Hop: A class built to learn the basics of counting music, rhythm and sequences of steps. Dancers will enjoy exploring their own personal expression to the latest age-appropriate music while having fun with friends!
Little Tap: Sound off! This class is a blast for those looking to make some noise. Dancers will learn patterns, control and coordination through this unique style of dance. Building musicality and skill will never be more fun!
Kids ages 5-7 years old
Kids Ballet: Dancers journey into the grace and beauty of ballet with this beginner class suited for our young dancers. Fundamentals of this beautiful style along with fun and creative props helps dancers begin to enjoy learning this long-lasting art form.
Kids Tap: Get those toes tapping and the fun going with this great introductory tap class for our little dancers. Begin learning pattern, rhythm, and basic tap moves to fun upbeat music. Come tap away with us!
Kids Hip Hop: For the movers and shakers, our hip-hop class for this age group is packed with fun! Your dancer will getting an introduction to the wide world of hip hop while having some fun dancing to great music sure to get them up and moving.
Kids Jazz: A classic addition for any dancer’s repertoire. Jazz is essential to helping build a strong, well rounded dancers training. A more stylized version of ballet; jazz is more upbeat with a mix of smooth and sharp movements, for those that need a little more pep!
Youth ages 7-11 years old
Youth Ballet: Continue building from earlier classes or start out on your journey to grow in the art of Ballet. Simple barre work, across the floor, and combinations will be taught to help strengthen, stretch, and build a great foundation of skill in Ballet.
Youth Tap: A class designed to ignite the love of rhythm and percussion through unique combination work and age appropriate skills to help strengthen the dancer’s coordination
Youth Hip Hop: Bring on the funk with this class! Learn the basics of pop, lock, and isolation work along with exciting new moves to some of the most popular age-appropriate music out there. The fun is never ending with this one.
Youth Jazz: A classic class for any dancer’s repertoire. Jazz is essential to helping build a strong, well rounded dancers training. A more stylized version of ballet; jazz is more upbeat with a mix of smooth and sharp movements.
Youth Contemporary: Contemporary dance infuses ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, and modern. This unique style allows freedom of personal expression and creativity. This style is very popular in the cutting edge world of dance and draws dancers in with its unique feel
Teen 12 years and up
Teen Ballet: Ballet is the foundation of all forms of dance. You develop grace, flexibility, balance, and strength. Ballet combines the enjoyment of movement, expression and sensitivity with music. It is also a basis for gymnastics and skating.
Teen Contemporary If you like “So You Think You Can Dance” then you will love our Contemporary Dance class! Contemporary dance infuses ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, and modern. This unique style allows freedom of personal expression and creativity.
Teen Hip-Hop This is one of our most popular classes. Hip Hop is featured in most music videos on television today. You will learn the latest new dance moves. You will focus on building the basics including counting music, memorization of sequences, choreography, and exploring rhythm just to name a few.
Teen Tap Get out your tap shoes! You will use your feet like drums; creating rhythmic patterns and beats. You will focus on learning single tap steps and combinations allowing you to learn musicality, rhythm, control and coordination.
Teen Jazz A class for students who want to get more serious about dancing and developing their performing abilities. This class is technically challenging. You will learn how to present dance skills as a performer. You will work on your technique while learning longer dance combinations and understanding more complex movements. Dance Company members are required to enroll in this class.
Dance Company If you are interested in performing opportunities and experiencing dance competitions you can audition for our Dance Company. The season runs September through June, with auditions taking place in the summer. Dance Company has a high level of commitment. Members are required to take additional technique enhancing classes in addition to rehearsal times.
